The gender life expectancy gap is growing.

Not only are women expected to live longer than men, but the difference in how much longer is growing as well. The life expectancy of men in the U.S. is now nearly six years shorter than that of women. Plus, over the past few years, overall life expectancy has dropped. These alarming downward trends in longevity must push us to improve access to preventive health for all people.
